Meet The Team

Amy (Hyde) Johnsen

Salon Owner/Stylist

Raised here in Spring Lake, graduated in 1999 from SLHS and continued the Career Line Tech center cosmetology program graduating in 2000. I then attended Baker college and got my associates in Business in 2002. I opened Amy’s Hair Hydeaway in 2001 and continued to grow the business and moved it to our current location May 2, 2011. I have a passion for all forms of art and I feel that helps me be the best stylist I can. Continued education is key to keep me informed and grow my skills that I bring back and apply on my clients. I enjoy all aspects of Cosmetology and the diverse aspects of our profession keep my creativity flowing.

I am thankful for all of my family, team, and clients who have helped Amy’s become the Salon it is today.

Thank You for your support.

Hi, my name is Kelly and I love being a hairstylist. While I am trained in all aspects of cosmetology, I especially enjoy cutting and styling as well as updos and color services. I pride myself in being a great listener and open to new ideas. Outside of the salon, I get to spend time with my husband and son in Grand Haven where both my husband and I were born and raised.

I’ve been working for Amy’s for 18 Year’s and I love it!

I enjoy doing foils, color, cuts, and nails. It’s great meeting new clients and making all my clients feel beautiful.

I graduated from the French Academy in Spring Lake in 2009 and have been a resident of Grand Haven for over 20 years. My true passion is cutting & style services, as well as color! I take pride in my work by always continuing my education.
